Dominic Briscomb

PRACTICE PRINCIPAL/OSTEOPATH

Dominic has always been curious about how things work. He used that drive to achieve a Bachelor and Master's qualifications in Osteopathy (Clinical Science) and a Bachelors in Human Movement (Applied Science). With a keen interest in sport and sports injuries, he has extensive experience treating patients of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. He has treated everyone from Cirque du Soleil acrobats to his 83 year old Marathon Running Mother in Law. 

Dominic’s curiosity means he is dedicated to uncovering the root causes of musculoskeletal pain, focusing on treating the underlying issues rather than just the symptoms.  He is happy to drive or assist in the management of health issues with other medical professionals, whether that is your GP, specialist, physio, PT or Yoga/Pilates teacher.  

  • Dominic has never been far from a bicycle and every year he works for the Pro Cycling Teams at the National Championships, the Tour Down Under and Cadel’s Road Race. He is passionate about helping others enjoy cycling to the fullest, whether you are commuting or racing. He offers Bike Fit sessions designed to help you with whatever your cycling issue. Dominic is familiar with resolving knee, hip and foot pain, as well a range of glute and hamstring issues. He offers advice and expertise on the medical issues involved in correct  saddle choice to avoid saddle soreness.

    He also loves the biomechanics of running and he excels at treating a wide range of running and overuse injuries.

Sara Polastri

PRACTICE PRINCIPAL/OSTEOPATH

Sara graduated from RMIT in 2013 with a Masters of Osteopathy / Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine).

Sara’s approach is both thoughtful and thorough. 

Recognising that pain is multifaceted and the human body is complex, she takes the time to understand each patient's unique situation. 

  • Her commitment to understanding your overall health and lifestyle allows her to offer the most comprehensive care for her patient's.  Her detailed assessments and questioning highlight her dedication to uncovering the root causes of issues. This is supported by her deep knowledge of human anatomy, function, and movement.

    Sara strongly believes in creating a supportive and safe space for her patients and prioritising patient education so they feel empowered on their health journey.

    Sara values collaboration and enjoys working closely with other allied health professionals and GP’s to ensure a comprehensive, team-based approach to her patients' recovery.

    Sara employs a range of manual therapy techniques in her treatments which range from soft tissue therapy, joint mobilisation, muscle stretching, fascial release and dry needling when appropriate. Her keen interest spans a diverse range of areas, including: 

    - Pregnancy-related pain

    - Headaches/ migraines

    - TMJ (jaw) issues

    - Pelvic and hip pain

    - Foot and ankle pain

    - Care for hypermobile individuals

    - Musculoskeletal conditions during menopause

    - Rehabilitation of lower limb injuries in sporting kids and adults.

Paul Attenborough

OSTEOPATH

Paul originally trained as a Remedial Massage Therapist but quickly became fascinated with osteopathy. He was impressed by how effective the holistic care he received was after a sports-related spinal injury. 

He now holds a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Masters in Health Science (Osteopathic Medicine).

Paul draws on more than 10 years of experience and advanced knowledge of anatomy,  physiology and pain science to provide an integrated and holistic approach. Using the latest evidence to guide his practice, he blends traditional osteopathic techniques with clinical rehabilitation to make sure all of the patient’s conditions are cared for.

  • He is passionate about sharing this interest and knowledge with others in his full time role as Lecturer in Osteopathy at RMIT University, teaching a range of courses including osteopathic technique and medical examination, and coordinating clinical placements for students.

Shane I’Anson

OSTEOPATH

Shane completed his Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. Shane also holds his Undergraduate Degree in Osteopathy, a Bachelor of Social Work and his Diploma of Education.  

He has significant professional experience in social welfare, disability, education and health, spanning over a decade, working for various institutions and with individuals from all different walks of life. 

Shane has always had a passion for helping others feel better about themselves and their health. He enjoys treating and educating patients, empowering them to take control of their own health journey.

  • Shane uses many techniques in his treatments, including: soft tissue massage, stretching, mobilisation, articulation, manipulation and exercise rehabilitation.

Samara Hodson

REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPIST

Samara has over 11 years experience offering a unique treatment incorporating a range of techniques such as trigger point therapy and myofascial release, addressing pain and increasing mobility.

She has completed advanced Dry Needling training though CPD health to treat trigger points causing referred pain such as headaches and neck and shoulder tightness. Great for rehabilitating repetitive strain and sports injuries.

Rachel Norman

REN MASSAGE MYOTHERAPY

Rachel holds her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy, Diploma of Remedial Massage, Cert IV in Massage Therapy Practice including Pregnancy Massage, and Cert in Hot Stone Massage.

She has worked in a number of allied health clinics around Victoria and now runs her own business ‘REN Massage & Myotherapy’, often working with Hockey Victoria, supporting young athletes at state championships around Australia. 

  • Rachel is passionate about helping others improve their quality of life and has a keen interest in musculoskeletal conditions, particularly sports related injuries.

    Her treatments include: assessments, remedial massage, dry needling, cupping, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, corrective exercises and kinesiology taping.
